This fine camera strap was designed by us in our studio and on the road. We worked with Knickerbocker Mfg. in Brooklyn, NY to handle the sewing. This strap is made of vintage materials from the 1970's era ; handkerchief , U.S. Army shelter half fabric, leather rifle straps and carabiner. The strap is adjustable on both sides by using the metal slide on the leather strap. Each strap is hand quilted in the factory which lends to the 2 hours of sewing time to make one strap. A total of 35 straps were made for this initial release to coincide with the launch of Elsewhere. Color variance can occur both in the quilted bandanas and the patina of the shelter half fabric making each strap truly one-of-a-kind. It comes packaged in a custom made ammunitions box made from Douglas Fir boards - all crated in our studio. Each strap also comes with a 20 page Photobooklet of original imagery on photo paper. The contents are filled with images an no words. All images were shot while making this strap on the road. Books are hand numbered / Edition of 150. Booklets are not for sale, but offered as an extra gift to the purchaser.
